The Playbook
Impact Events was founded with one goal — to use the game we love to share the God who saves.
We partner with churches, schools, and athletic programs across the country to host high-energy, gospel-centered conferences for student-athletes.
Each event features powerful testimonies, real locker-room stories, and practical tools for living boldly for Christ — on and off the field.
How It All Started
In the summer of 2020, Anthony and Missy McElroy left Nashville, Tennessee, and moved to Longview, Texas, carrying with them years of experience in business, events, and music and a growing sense that God was calling them to something more.
That calling came into focus two years later during a moment that captured the nation’s attention. On January 2, 2023, as millions watched Buffalo Bills player Damar Hamlin collapse on the field during Monday Night Football, the world stood still. The next day, ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky stopped mid-broadcast and boldly prayed for Damar, live on air.
Watching that moment unfold, Anthony felt a clear prompting from the Lord: “Create a space where faith and football collide — and lives are changed.” Just six months later, that vision became reality. More than 700 coaches and athletes gathered for the very first IMPACT Event, featuring Dan Orlovsky and Pastor Todd Kaunitz as speakers. By the end of the night, over 70 students surrendered their lives to Jesus Christ.
What began as a single moment of obedience has grown into a movement — one that continues to unite athletes, coaches, and churches around the country in the name of Jesus.
